86 Days to the Festival
Got a wonderful posting last night from Carolyn Suffern Johnson, the great, great, great, great granddaughter of John Suffern. Carolyn praised SMAF saying that we are “inspiring, talented, awesome”. I told her we are blessed to have her as a “friend” of the Festival.
Given the legacy of her family, I want to share her motivational reply. Her message is for each of you working on the Festival, supporting the Festival, planning to volunteer, or who will attend SMAF 2009.

Given how SMAF is coming together, I think Suffern really is a place of music.
I feel as if I almost have gotten in on the ground floor of an incredible resurgence there. Something “tapped” me last October to bring my attention to the place. I am so glad because I am witness to this great effort for SMAF! What you are doing is truly amazing!
